To survive the change of direction I decided to give my life, I had to let go of many behaviours I once carried with me.<\/p>\n Taking myself too seriously was one of the first attitudes I threw overboard from the sinking ship.<\/p>\n So, let\u2019s stick with the \u201conion\u201d image. It\u2019s ridiculous and profound at the same time,\u00a0 like all true things in life.<\/p>\n [\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.27.4″ text_font=”||||||||” text_font_size=”16px” text_line_height=”1.8em” text_font_size_tablet=”” text_font_size_phone=”14px” text_font_size_last_edited=”on|desktop” locked=”off” global_colors_info=”{}” theme_builder_area=”post_content”]<\/p>\n Is my journey an escape story? Yes, of course it is. And you don\u2019t move fast when you\u2019re a big, fat onion, I swear.<\/p>\n Did I get myself into trouble? And is this the story of how I got out of the trouble I created by myself? Yes, absolutely. Like a prisoner who puts himself in danger just to break free.<\/p>\n Could I have simply stayed in my old life and kept away from risks? I don\u2019t think so. I had this deep instinct for freedom, an almost animal urgency. It was so strong, and at the same time so true, that I could nearly hear its voice pointing out the path to follow \u2014 clear and loud.<\/p>\n [\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.27.4″ text_font=”||||||||” text_font_size=”16px” text_line_height=”1.8em” text_font_size_tablet=”” text_font_size_phone=”14px” text_font_size_last_edited=”on|desktop” locked=”off” global_colors_info=”{}” theme_builder_area=”post_content”]<\/p>\n And so, one day, I jumped.<\/p>\n When I found myself in the water, I thought I could swim. I thought I had a life vest. I thought someone might help me out. But the moment I touched the water, I understood very clearly: none of that would happen.<\/p>\n Still, there was this voice in my head saying: \u201cClaudia, you can swim, right? So don\u2019t panic. You\u2019re alone, but you\u2019ll make it.\u201d <\/em>And that\u2019s exactly what I did: I swam.<\/p>\n In the beginning, I moved like a war machine, precise, determined, almost professional. It looked effortless: But after a while, it became more about survival: just keep your head above water, keep moving your arms, don\u2019t stop.<\/p>\n And then\u2026 I transformed again. I was no longer a machine. I wasn\u2019t even a swimmer.
